The designer Xiral Segard rapidly specialized in concrete to create domestic items which make best use of modular design and clearness. She presented her projects at Cité de la Mode et du Design from 12th to 18th September in the framework of the first Paris Design Week.

1. PROTOTYPE WATERTOWER AT HOME
Side table Watertower at home are a tribute to this monumental architecture that punctuates the landscape of French countryside, a concrete island in the middle of nowhere. All three models explores a particular typologies of the water tower in the shape of hyperbole, conical or with a strong cantilever. Its surface appearance reveals gross manufacturing steps. These tables are equipped with a removable tray made of wood formwork containing a tank for storage.
2. PROTOTYPE PLAYTIME
The concrete pavement Playtime adapts and reinterprets the traditional technique of marquetry to the specifics of this construction material. Playtime plays with geometric and counterforms concrete. The pattern on the first plate, disappears little by little on the second and third slab no longer exist on the fourth. Theses four pavement each can create a design more or less dense in places.
3. VASE KONKURÏTO
The vase was inspired Konkurïto “bento”, japanese canteen. All mortar, there are 4 modular elements to be stacked and a cover. Depending on the size of your bouquet, large or small, the room reservoir water located at the top or bottom. By varying the modularity Konkurïto, you also create a new rhythm graphics. When you do not have flowers, will become a pretty box with a lid.
4. LAMPE GAYALUX
The Gayalux lamp is both sculptural and light. This ball mineral is anchored on the ground, it seems to levitate with his streak of light passing through it. Concrete leaves architecture for the object, the block is curved like a skin.
